You take a sip of coffee as the sun streams in through the skylight of your second-floor home office sending beams of sunlight across the cathedral ceiling. The timer sounds and you run downstairs to check your frittata in the beautifully updated kitchen complete with stainless steel appliances, quartz countertops and excellent lighting. You shudder how clean and nice everything is and cannot believe it is yours and the roof is only a few years old. The paper arrives, yes you get a paper because you are tired of internet news and TV, as you pass the front door you wonder if the leaded glass door is the original from 1935, you walk out onto the arched glass enclosed porch to retrieve it, and say hi to your neighbor. Headline reads, Schools Are Back in Biz. Oh well that is good because its only two blocks away to Overlook Elementary. The kids are safe in the fenced backyard and are playing on the swing set, its almost time for lunch. Hmmm, you could walk to several take-out places on 611 or jump in the car and drive a mile or so to the supermarket. You also notice the Crestmont train station is only a short walk away for when the office reopens or if you just want to see Center City again. After lunch, the laundry is ready to be folded and the basement door is beckoning you. Its wide open down here and you can walk out to the back yard, it might be a good idea to finish it someday. The evening approaches and the full bath is a flurry of screams and splashes. Teeth brushed, nails trimmed, PJs on all set for a comfy sleep in either of the two carpeted bedrooms down a short hallway. The house quiets and you notice the gleaming hardwood floors throughout the kitchen, dining, and living room are just the right style for the house. Its hot and sticky tonight but the window air conditioning units make it wonderfully comfortable inside. The quiet little street makes for great night s sleep.
