At the famous bend on River Road, the traveler experiences a cluster of stone buildings that are most reminiscent of an 18th Century European Village. At the nucleus of this “village” is the Inn at Phillips Mill. The genesis of this stone building that houses the Inn, is Circa 1913, as the Holmquist School for Girls. For generations, the Inn was the scene of quiet, inspired dinners bathed in candle light with the sounds of fireplaces crackling along with the comforting view of the rich and stately timber and paneling covered in a century old patina.
